Great place to relax with amazing owners. I’m not even mentioning the private beach location with nobody around and the solid breakfast prepared with love.

Susee is the friendliest, most helpful and accommodating host I could ever imagine. Upon arrival, he delivered a glass of freshly made juice that was some of the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. I thought he said “root apple” but I can’t find anything like that on the internet, so I’ll just call it “Susee juice.” It was outstanding! He then showed me his stretch of the beach, which was absolutely gorgeous. He pointed out that right next to his property is the most expensive 5-star hotel in Bentota, so we essentially get the same beach and same view for a fraction of the price. The room is nice and the bed very comfortable. There is a mosquito net and even a wardrobe, neither of which I needed to use. The air conditioner kept a consistent, comfortable temperature, while the high-speed overhead fan actually got me a little too cool in the middle of the night and I had to turn it off. Every morning, a fresh breakfast is provided on schedule (which he let me schedule ahead of time). This includes lots of fresh fruit, pancakes (which are rolled up and more similar to crepes from my American perspective), egg-roll-like savory pastry puffs, and fresh coffee or tea. He also provides dinner on request for a nominal fee, which I took advantage of both nights. I had a salad followed by a heap of fresh barbecued prawns, rice, and curry the first night. The second night was kuthi (not sure I spelled that right) — a nest of stir fried egg noodles, mushrooms and meats that was delightfully spicy. If you’re not ok with a bit of heat, you may want to avoid that. Extras - Susee provided me free transport to my one excursion and set up the reservation for me on a wonderful riverboat safari. I got an up-close experience with crocodiles, snakes, water monitors, and numerous birds. We even made a pitstop at the boatman’s friend’s property so I could hold and take pictures with a baby crocodile. They are so adorable. I want one. I trusted Susee to select the right river guide, and my trust was well-placed. This guy has an amazing eye for spotting the green tree snakes and baby crocs that I would have never noticed on my own. In a few hours, Susee is even taking me to the airport, which is no short drive, for a very reasonable price. If you want a clean, comfortable and affordable spot with a quiet, beautiful beach, delicious breakfasts and dinner options, and a host who shows how much he cares and appreciates your business, choose Susee’s Villas!

Everything was amazing at Susee Villa! Susee was THE BEST host we've had in 3 weeks of Sri Lanka. Helped us out with planning, making trips, moving us around. His daughters made us such an amazing breakfast, each day you get a different breakfast. Also one of our favorites we've had during our stay here! Every day of the week is a different breakfast. We also got a juice and a snack during the day!! The place is convenient as it has its private beach and it's not too far away from the center too. We'd love to come again! Byli jsme zde dva dny a vše bylo super pan Susee byl velmi příjemný. Pokoje byly čisté ale trochu zatuchle zapáchaly. Poloha vily je velmi dobrá skoro přímo u pláže, pláž je udržovaná a není přeplněná. Snídaně byly velmi dobré, plné tropického ovoce a jiných potravin. Děkuji za všechno Susee

Meeting and staying at Susee's has been an absolute honour, what a gentleman. His villa was perfect for us, we were treated like royalty nothing was too much for Susee and his family. Only originally booked for two nights but extended to five after the amazing hospitality he showed us, food you couldn't find in a 5* restaurant and the Beautiful clean beach and warm swimming waters. Susse has lived there his whole life and is very respected with a world of knowledge of Sri Lanka. Anything you need Susse can help with from recommending places to visit to River tours, shopping and airport run's. Stay here and you'll be in safe hands in paradise.

We woke up at 3 in the morning with an enormous cockroach on our face, on our bed. We had nowhere to go so we stayed awake till morning so that we could leave. The landlord came and we told him what happened, he said he had never seen cockroaches before. Then he said that it came in from an open door. We told him that the problem was because of the holes in the window but he refused that that was the problem. Then he asked to get paid, we told him that we will not pay for this, he started shouting and threatening us (we are two women) saying that we are in his property and he will do whatever he wants to do. THE PLACE IS NOT CLEAN. It's dirty and the room smells bad with mold. The path leading to the beach is full of trash and they do not clean it.

Wir haben leider nicht dort geschlafen. Die Zimmer und den Gastgeber konnten wir sehen Bzw kennenlernen. Er und seine Familie ist sehr zuvorkommend.

This place is located 50-100 m from a wonderfully peaceful beach. Perfect to relax a little and live the good life. Susee is a wonderful host, there‘s amazing breakfast, which is different each day. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Since the apartments are close to the road, you can hear vehicles passing by, but that didn’t bother us much. The only thing that did bother us was the noisy ventilator in our room. Nonetheless, 5 stars, thanks a lot Susee!

Susee was a great host and even took us to a few places on his tuktuk without charge.
